Enroll in a Health Savings Account

You enroll online after your employer sends us some information:

  • Your employer sends to Discovery Benefits employee demographic information indicating which employees are HSA-eligible.
  • We prepare our system for your enrollment and give your employer instructions, ID information and password.
  • Once you receive that information from your employee, you can enroll online.

HSAs are effective the first of the calendar month following enrollment. Enrollment must be completed by December 1 in order for the account holder to contribute the maximum annual contribution allowed for the current calendar year.
